Adding Calendly to your Squarespace Website Design

What is Calendly?

Calendly is an appointment setting app. It gives you the freedom to set your own availability through the application, and send a link directly to your prospect to book a call. You can intergrate a number of different applications to Calendly: Google teams, zoom, etc to make this easier for you and your prospect.

I’m now going to dive into how you can integrate Calendly into your Squarespace website design.

Step 1) Sign up to Calendly

Simply sign up to calendly here where you can either join using your email, or the much simpler method through google or Microsoft to save time.

If you already have an account, skip this step and we can jump straight into adding Callendly to your Squarespace web design.

Step 2) Create an event on Calendly

You are going to simply want to press “create” on the top left corner of the Calendly portal, where you will be greeted with 3 options: event type, one-off meeting, and meeting poll. These are all things I’m happy to go into in the future, but for the purpose of this article, you are going to want to select “event type”.

Now you will be greeted with another set of options for which type of meeting you want to provide. In most cases I assume you will be wanting a 1 on 1 meeting type, so we will select that for the purpose of this article (the steps are almost identical for each FYI, so choose whichever one you want).

Finally, fill out the details above as I have done. Bear in mind that both you and your client can also see these details so something professional and exciting should really work well together.

Set the meeting time for however long you expect it to run for, give this some thought as it can be a quick way to upset your clients when they are spending more time than they signed up for.

Step 3) Add Your Calendly Link to Your Squarespace Website Design

Let’s start by navigating to “event types” on the calendly portal, you are simply going to want to select the “copy link” button. As soon as this is done, you can open your Squarespace website and select “edit”.

Now that we have the link to our meeting, you can now choose two options, creating a button or adding the link to a group of text.

Adding a button

Within your desired section on your Squarespace site’s editor you need to select “add block” in the top left corner of your site, as well as button.

Now click on the button and press the pencil icon to edit the details of the button. You can change the CTA to something like “book a call” or “schedule a meeting”.

Then the most important part, under the link within this menu you need to select “add link” and paste in the calendly link from earlier.

Now the link should be fully functioning"!

Adding a link to text

In order to add a link to text in Squarespace you can achieve this by ‘highlighting’ the text and scrolling until your desired text is blue and selecting the link icon above the text block. Simply paste your link into this.

Conclusion

Thank you very much for reading along today everyone. Calendly is a fantastic tool which will allow much greater time for you to work on the things that really matter.
